Abstract:

Disaster Recovery / Business Continuity has experienced a tremendous evolution, progressing from the obligatory insurance policy-based approach, to becoming an integral part of the business offerings of enterprise IT leadership.  This presentation will review this progression and the placement of organizations along this evolutionary path.  Attendees will learn where their current Disaster Recovery Plans fit in today’s always-on infrastructure landscape and will discover some of the management and technology solutions available to help them reach the goal of “zero downtime nirvana”.

Mr. Vecchioni is Director of Professional Services and Sr. Technical Consultant with IP DataSystems.  He has over 30 years of experience as an Information Technology Consultant, Systems Engineer, Project Manager and IT Director.  In his capacity as a Senior Technical Consultant with IP DataSystems, he assists enterprise IT organizations in their efforts to assess and improve the services and products offered to the businesses they support.  He maintains multiple vendor and industry certifications, including that of EMC Technology Architect with specialties in RecoverPoint, VNX and VPLEX, MCSE, VMware DCVCP, VCE converged infrastructure implementation engineer VCE-CIIE, and is a certified business resilience information technology professional – CBRITP.
