Topic: Locks: from Basic to High Security and Beyond.

Abstract: "Security is like a chain in that it is only as strong as it weakest link” and "with enough time and physical access no system is unbreakable". When we think physical security, most often the mind’s picture is of a lock and key. But how do these keep us secure? What does a company mean when they advertise a lock as high security? What are the components a discerning security professional should look for when choosing the right lock to keep their systems/resources/company safe?

Chris is currently working as a Senior Process Improvement/ Process Re-engineering Consultant for a local federal customer. He previously served in the United States Navy as a Cryptologic Technician Maintenance (CTM) where some of his duties included maintenance of cypher lock systems and crypto safes. He rejoined the private sector in 2010 as a government contractor and has performed many duties as ISSO and Security Consultant. He received his M.S. in Information Technologies / Information Assurance in 2012 and his CISSP in 2013.
